On 27 April 2020, the main contractor for Langat Sewerage Project conducted a Covid-19 initial screening following the announcement of Ministry of International Trade & Industry (MITI) in order to continue its operation in constructing the Centralised Sewage Treatment Plant (CSTP) and Sewerage Conveyance System of 105 km.

The screening was successfully carried out at its project site in Kampung Sungai Balak, Kajang involving 68 employees comprising of different departments. The screening which required nose and throat swabs was conducted by Sunway Medical Centre Velocity. All 68 employees were tested negative during the screening and continued to resume its construction operations at full force on 29 April 2020.

The project is progressing steadily at 86.6% and will attempt to remain steadfast in this trying time. The project is supervised by Sewerage Service Department under the Ministry of Environment & Water.
