On 22 January 2020 until 24 January 2020, Langat Sewerage Project has taken the initiative to enliven the festivities with residents of Chinese descent around the Langat Sewerage Project area in conjunction with Chinese New Year celebration.

Several teams comprising of the project personnel distributed mandarin oranges along the project network lines, namely to the residents of Kampung Batu 11, Kampung Balakong and Taman Cheras Hartamas as a sign of solidarity and goodwill.

The distribution of mandarin oranges was further extended to four Chinese schools; Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina Batu 11 Cheras, Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina Batu 9, Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina Connaught 2 and Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina Balakong which received immense and overwhelming response.

The mandarin oranges were also distributed to other stakeholders as part of the effort to strengthen the relationship with members of the community and various stakeholders which have supported the construction activities at the respective areas.
